James Joyce, Tommaso del Buono and Salih Adalier

In April I photographed the artist James Joyce for the online edition of Hole & Corner Magazine at his studio in Shoreditch.
You can find the full article here: www.holeandcornermagazine.com

A few weeks back I also photographed the garden designer Tommaso del Buono at home in London for the Telegraph Magazine's "The World of..." section. The story will be published in this Saturday's edition of the magazine, ahead of the opening of the Chelsea Flower Show, where Tommaso designed this years Telegraph garden.

But for me the most interesting has been making a short portrait film about photographer Salih Adalier together with David San Millán del Río. I have known Salih for a number of years and this January, knowing he was about to sell the building that houses his studio, David and I decided to go back to capture it on film before it was too late.
The film was commissioned by Accent Magazine and Issue 5, featuring our film is now online:

Richard Deacon for The Telegraph

Sculptor Richard Deacon's retrospective show at Tate Britain opens on February 5th. A couple of weeks ago I photographed him for The Telegraph. You will recognise the setting of this picture from my previous post: Emily and the invisible chair.

Emily and the invisible chair

I did a job for the Sunday Telegraph Magazine last week. Here's my assistant for the day, lovely Emily, sitting on thin air.

Métier launch at TPG

The launch of MÉTIER was this week at The Photographer's Gallery Bookshop.
It was a lovely lovely night. I was particularly happy that a few of the poeple I photographed for the book made it to the launch. Here I am talking to Lorenzo Marioni of the closed down New Piccadilly Café, Gary Arber of W.A Arber and Co., printer and stationer in Bow and Klaus Kalde, black and white photographic printer with his daughter.

Thank you to everyone who came!

Ajeto Glass

Earlier this year I went to The Czech republic for monocle to photograph the Ajeto glass factory for Monocle's regular The Specialist report. It was published in the current issue. Here is how it looks.

And here are a few that didn't make it into the edit.

Monocle

A couple of months ago I took the pictures for a Monocle magazine culture report about Nobrow, a very nice, independent publisher of illustration books in London. The piece was published in this months issue of MONOCLE.
